Former French national team player Jérôme Rothen criticized Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe for skipping the away match against Azerbaijan as part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification games. According to Rothen, while Mbappe is the team’s main star, he enjoys preferential treatment compared to others.
