Paluka Names the Best Goalkeepers in the World

Former Italy national team and Inter Milan goalkeeper Gianluca Pagliuca has revealed his list of the best goalkeepers in modern football. His ranking also includes Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

"In my opinion, the best goalkeepers in the world are Donnarumma, Emiliano Martínez, and Thibaut Courtois. As for Italian football, I have recently been impressed by the performances of Cagliari's goalkeeper Elia Caprile, as well as Carnesecchi and Di Gregorio," said Pagliuca in an interview with pianetamilan.it.

"However, to be honest, they cannot reach the level of the goalkeepers from the 1990s; that was an entirely different era," he added. Gianluca Pagliuca retired from professional football in 2007.
