Former Armenia national team goalkeeper Roman Berezovskiy shared his thoughts on the future of Russian national team goalkeeper Matvey Safonov at PSG. "I think it would be better for him to leave the Parisian club as he would have more opportunities to play.
If there are no other options in European clubs, I believe he should return to Russia," Berezovskiy said in an interview with "RB Sport." According to the expert, the lack of game practice at PSG is negatively affecting Safonov's performances with the Russian national team.
Matvey Safonov joined PSG from Krasnodar in the summer of 2024, signing a contract with the French club. However, during the current season, the Russian goalkeeper has not made any appearances, as he is losing competition to Lucas Chevalier.
