According to Opta statistics, England became only the second European national team to finish qualification without losing any points or conceding a single goal. The first team to achieve this was Yugoslavia, which played four matches during the 1954 World Cup qualification.
England's overall goal difference in this qualification campaign was 22:0. The "Three Lions" secured the first position, leaving Albania behind by 10 points.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, running from June to July.
