As the decisive match of the Al Ain Cup is approaching, Iranian national team midfielder Mehdi Hashimnajot expressed his opinion ahead of the final against Uzbekistan. According to him, the team's overall condition is good, and the players feel physically and mentally ready for the final.
According to Hashimnajot, the final is always a match that is fundamentally different from other games, requiring willpower, resistance to pressure, and precise actions. Therefore, the Iranian national team sees this match not even as an ordinary competition, but as a final step towards the trophy.
As a player, he confidently stated one thing on behalf of the team: they are determined to give it their all in the final. According to him, in the final, fans will see a team with high technique, a serious and skillful game.
Hashimnajot also spoke about the matches against Uzbekistan. He recalled that in the last match, the Iranian team lost one player from the second minute and was forced to continue the game with ten players. Nevertheless, even then, Uzbekistan proved itself as a strong, rapidly developing, and disciplined team.
In the footballer's opinion, the national team showed its strength in the last match, and the final will be another test for the result of the same development. He noted:
"The intensity of the game will be great in the final. We also have a large team with well-known players. Each of us will use all our potential and use all our capabilities to achieve the best results."
He also noted that many thought that Egypt would reach the final, but fate brought them back to face Uzbekistan. According to Hashimnajot, the most important aspect in the final is not the opponent, but maintaining one's style and properly organizing the team game.
He praised Uzbekistan as a team that qualified for the World Cup and expressed confidence that the final will tell fans about an emotional, intense, and challenging match.
