The World Boxing Cup final, taking place in New Delhi, India, has reached its peak. In today's quarter-final program, 7 of our compatriots fought, and a little while ago the second block of matches also came to an end. The representatives of our team once again demonstrated their skills and intensified the competition.
The first news: the fight in the -50 kg weight category was unexpectedly cancelled. South Korean representative Yoon Tae-geun refused to enter the ring due to a problem with his head and jaw. Therefore, a fight in this category will not be held.
One of the most notable matches of the day was in the -70 kg weight category. Muhammadazizbek Ismailov secured a decisive victory over South Korean boxer Kim Joonsudan with an absolute advantage of 5:0 and confidently advanced to the next stage. His creativity in the ring and heroic courage evoked an invincible mood.
Jasurbek Yuldashev also successfully completed the day. In the -85 kg weight category, he won with a score of 5:0, leaving no chance for his Australian opponent John Lachlan. Yuldashev's actions aroused confidence in many and once again demonstrated his progressive approach in the competition.
According to the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan, our boxers are moving very steadily in the overall standings and show a significant advantage on the way to the final stage. The remaining stages of the competition are also expected to be intense.
