The dispute between Kylian Mbappé and PSG has escalated again. The controversy surrounding the striker, who left the Parisian club as a free agent in 2024 and joined Real Madrid, remains unresolved - on the contrary, it is exacerbated by new accusations and high demands.
Mbappé accuses the club of exerting strong psychological pressure on him. According to him, his temporary dismissal from the main squad in 2023 was precisely a "punishment" for the purpose of forcing him to a new contract. This fact is noted as one of the main points in the player's legal claim.
During a subsequent court hearing on November 17th, it was revealed that the striker was demanding a total of around 240 million euros from the Parisian club. Among her claims to the Labor Court are a number of large sums:
- pre-tax warning compensation in the amount of 12.6 million euros;
- 25 million euros as illegal dismissal;
- €3.6 million for vacation;
- 1 million euros for three months of unpaid wages;
- 44 million euros for unjustified removal from the squad.
At the same time, Mbappe demands a salary of 17 million euros not paid between April and June 2023, 36.6 million euros as the remainder of the signing bonuses, 1 million euros as a moral incentive, 37 million euros for additional work not regulated by the contract, and another 37 million euros for psychological pressure. In addition, he requested compensation of 18+18 million euros for violations of labor agreements and safety regulations.
Mbappé's legal team is demanding that the court consider €14.8 million in pre-tax compensation as his "possible salary."
However, the conflict is not limited to Mbappé's demands alone. PSG has also filed a counterclaim - the club is demanding €180 million in compensation from the striker. The Parisians believe the player violated the terms of the contract and caused serious damage to the club.
For now, both sides are in a tense position, and the court proceedings are ongoing. And the fans understand one thing well: this conflict is becoming one of the largest legal clashes between one of the most famous football players in Europe and one of the richest clubs.
Kylian believes he's right, while PSG is defending his position - the final point in this conflict hasn't been reached yet.
