Alba: Yamal Cannot Be Compared to Messi

Inter Miami's left-back Jordi Alba shared his thoughts regarding Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal. Spanish journalists asked the experienced defender about his opinion on comparing the 18-year-old Catalonian star to the club's legend Lionel Messi.

Alba praised the young footballer's talent but emphasized that such a comparison is not appropriate. According to him:

"Yamal is truly an amazing football player. However, Barça also has other strong players like Frenkie de Jong and Pedri. Comparing Lamine to Messi is impossible."

"In my opinion, there is no competitor to Leo," Alba's remarks were quoted by Barca Universal.

For reference, Jordi Alba represented Barcelona from 2012 to 2023. Currently, he plays alongside Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.
