Barcelona's Best Player of the 21st Century Revealed

38-year-old "Inter Miami" forward Lionel Messi has been honored with an award by Spanish journalists. The publication Sport.es has recognized the Argentine forward as the best player of the 21st century for the Catalan club "Barcelona."

A representative of the publication visited Miami to present the award to the footballer. Messi, a product of the Barcelona academy, played for the "Blaugrana" first team from 2005 to 2021.

He then spent two seasons playing for France's PSG and has been continuing his career with the U.S. club "Inter Miami" since the summer of 2023. Lionel's employment contract with the Florida-based club is valid until the end of 2028.

His transfer market value is estimated at 18 million euros.
