Hoffenheim Fails to Secure Second Place

'Hoffenheim' drew with 'Mainz' away after winning four consecutive matches, missing the opportunity to move up to second place. In the match against 'Mainz', one of the championship's underdogs, the favorite quickly took the lead.

In the ninth minute, Andreas Hanche-Olsen caused an own goal. However, the match continued as a closely contested battle.

'Hoffenheim' forward Fisnik Asllani had several opportunities to extend the lead, but the goalkeeper successfully parried his shots. By the middle of the second half, Tim Lemperle also tested the goalkeeper with a strike.

In the 76th minute, after a corner kick by 'Mainz', Danny da Costa sent the ball into the net, equalizing the score. In the final minutes, 'Mainz' had a player sent off following a VAR decision.
