Donnarumma: Adapting to the Premier League Was Not Easy

Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma shared his thoughts on his initial months in England. The "Citizens" purchased the 26-year-old goalkeeper from PSG at the beginning of September.

"From the start, I did not expect to be this effective in the Premier League. However, my teammates gave me tremendous support – they welcomed me wonderfully.

In particular, the support of my teammates was crucial during my first game [against Manchester United], which took place the day after I arrived in England. Already during the first training session, I felt as though I had been part of the team for two years.

I encountered completely different conditions in the Premier League: very intense football with a high demand for running. It required me to adapt," Donnarumma's words were quoted by City Xtra.
