Inter fails to halt losing streak in derby

Inter has failed to secure victory in its last five derbies against Milan and suffered another defeat. Despite Inter controlling much of the match's momentum, their attacks lacked effectiveness.

Davide Bartesagi struck from the penalty area line, but the ball went past the post. Hakan Çalhanoğlu attempted a direct shot from a corner kick into the goal, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out of play.

Marcus Thuram delivered a brilliant pass to Lautaro Martínez in the penalty area, but Lautaro's shot was deflected onto the post by the goalkeeper. In the 54th minute, Milan launched a counterattack.

Alexis Saelemaekers struck from a distance, and although the goalkeeper saved it, the ball landed at Christian Pulisic's feet, allowing him to score – 0:1. Later, Strahinja Pavlović committed a foul against Marcus Thuram in the penalty area, resulting in a penalty kick.

Hakan Çalhanoğlu took the 11-meter penalty, but the goalkeeper once again denied Inter the goal. This defeat marked Inter's fourth loss in Serie A, leaving the team in fourth place in the league standings.
