“Como” could not hold the lead: “Inter” won with a comeback

One of the central and dramatic matches of the 32nd round of the Italian Serie A presented fans with a real football show. “Como” hosted title-chasing “Inter” on their home ground and, despite leading by two goals during the match, were ultimately forced to accept defeat.
The encounter started at a very intense and high tempo. The hosts were the first to open the scoring. In the 36th minute, Valle, with an accurate strike, put “Como” ahead. After this goal, the team did not reduce their activity and, closer to the end of the first half, struck the opponent’s goal once again. In the 45th minute, Paz made the score 2:0, giving the fans great hope.
However, “Inter” did not remain without a response. In stoppage time of the first half, Thuram reduced the score and revived the intrigue. This goal, without exaggeration, became the turning point of the match.
With the start of the second half, the Milan side fully took control of the initiative. In the 49th minute, Thuram once again got his name on the scoreboard and equalized the score. After that, “Inter” increased the pressure even more and forced the opponent into defensive mistakes.
In the 59th minute, Dumfries put his team ahead, and in the 72nd minute he completed a brace, strengthening “Inter’s” advantage. Thus, the visitors went ahead 4:2.
In the final minutes of the match, “Como” did not give up. In the 88th minute, da Cunha converted a penalty and reduced the gap. However, there was not enough time for a comeback, and the match ended 4:3 in favor of “Inter”.
