David Luiz Scores in Champions League After 8-Year Hiatus


Brazilian defender and member of Cyprus' "Pafos" team, David Luiz, scored a goal against "Monaco." This event occurred on Wednesday during the fifth round of the tournament's main stage.

Thus, the Brazilian footballer managed to score again in Europe's most prestigious football tournament after an eight-year hiatus. The last time he scored in the Champions League was in the 2017/18 season while playing for London's "Chelsea."

It should be noted that Luiz equalized the score during the match held in Cyprus. Previously, Takumi Minamino had scored for "Monaco."

However, shortly after Luiz’s goal, "Monaco" players regained the lead. This goal was credited to Folarin Balogun.
