The president of Milan's Inter club, Giuseppe Marotta, responded to comments made by Atletico Madrid's head coach Diego Simeone. During a press conference held ahead of the Champions League match, the Argentine coach mentioned that he could imagine managing the Nerazzurri in the future.
"I take Simeone's words as admiration for our club. He knows Inter well and considers our team one of the best in Europe.
Currently, we have a young coach, Cristian Chivu, and we hope he can lead our team for many years to come. We are very pleased with Cristian, and we trust he will have a long career at Inter," Marotta told Sky Sport in an interview.
It is worth noting that Diego Simeone played for Inter as a player from 1996 to 1999. He has been serving as Atletico Madrid's head coach since 2011.
