FC Bayern Munich is considering the possibility of parting ways with Dayot Upamecano. The French defender’s current contract is set to expire next summer.
According to renowned German journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Munich-based club has shown interest in RB Leipzig’s central defender Castello Lukeba. Bayern’s head of sport, Max Eberl, is reportedly a fan of the young and talented 22-year-old footballer.
Lukeba’s contract includes a release clause priced at 80 million euros starting from the summer of 2026. However, a year later, he can reportedly be acquired for 65 million euros.
However, according to sources, Bayern's primary objective remains to extend the contract with Upamecano.
