Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl attracts interest from Saudi Arabia

Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl is attracting interest from the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad. According to reports in the Saudi press, the club's management has held negotiations to bring the 52-year-old official into their project. This is reported by Goal.com reports .
However, negotiations have currently stalled due to differing views on future sports strategy. Al-Ittihad's management is considering alternative candidates, while Eberl himself has emphasized that he has a contract with Bayern until 2027 and wishes to remain in Munich.
The situation within the club remains somewhat complex. According to Kicker, the Bayern supervisory board will evaluate the entire management team, including Eberl, at the end of May. There is also criticism regarding Eberl due to a cooling relationship with sporting director Christoph Freund and his perceived soft approach in transfer negotiations.
Max Eberl took office in March 2024, and after initial criticism, he partially regained fan trust through the signings of players like Michael Olise and Luis Diaz. Nevertheless, debates regarding internal club processes and transfer policy continue.
