In the twelfth round of the German Championship, Bayern Munich hosted St. Pauli in their home stadium and, as expected, defeated the underdog with a score of 3–1. This marked the Munich club’s 20th consecutive domestic league match in which they succeeded in scoring multiple goals in a single game.
This streak began last season. The last time Bayern Munich scored only one goal in a Bundesliga match was on March 15, during a game against Union Berlin.
The streak has tied the Bundesliga record, which also belongs to Bayern Munich. This record was previously set during the 2013/2014 season under the management of Josep Guardiola.
