Following the 2-0 victory against Neftchi in the 30th round of the Super League, Fergana coach Vitaliy Levchenko shared his thoughts at a press conference. For Neftchi, who finished the competition as champions, this match was marked by a significant lack of emotions and motivation.
Levchenko noted that although the team had completed the main task set for the Super League, it was difficult to fully concentrate in the last game of the season. It was noted that after winning the championship, the team relaxed somewhat, which had a significant impact on the game.
"Actually, this game wasn't easy for us. Because we had already exhausted the great emotion. Motivation, inner spirit, and psychological preparation are very important. The guys couldn't find themselves in some episodes. "I still congratulate the opponent on the victory, they played very closely and willingly today," Levchenko said.
He emphasized that the Fergana team did not belittle the opponent; on the contrary, the team's psychological state influenced the quality of the game. The coach also did not express a clear opinion on whether he will continue to manage Neftchi next season.
"I can't say now whether I'll stay next season or not. There is no clear decision yet," the coach added.
Thus, "Neftchi" finished the season as champions, but the team now faces another important question - whether Levchenko will continue his journey with the Fergana club or not, which will become clear in the coming days.
