Luis Enrique considers Ševela as PSG goalkeeper

French newspaper L’Equipe journalist Jose Barroso has commented on the competition between Matvey Safonov and Lucas Chevalier to become the main goalkeeper for PSG. According to the journalist, Chevalier was unable to play on Saturday due to health issues, which gave Safonov the opportunity to participate in his first match of the season.

Barroso noted that Safonov performed exceptionally well, making the most of his opportunity and proving himself worthy as PSG's goalkeeper. However, the journalist emphasized that Luis Enrique's primary choice remains Chevalier, and the coach specifically requested this goalkeeper.

Nevertheless, if Safonov continues to take advantage of his opportunities as effectively, he could create doubts for Enrique and increase his chances of securing a spot in the starting lineup. Barroso added that Safonov’s remarkable performance in the match against Rennes has boosted his chances of winning the competition with Chevalier.
