Real Madrid Announces Militao's Injury


Real Madrid defender Éder Militão sustained an injury during Sunday’s home match against Celta as part of the La Liga competition. The following day, the Madrid-based club issued an official statement regarding the Brazilian player’s condition.

The club announced that Militão has been diagnosed with a tear in the biceps femoris muscle of his left leg. The injury also involves the proximal (near the hip) muscle tendons.

The 27-year-old’s recovery timeline has not yet been disclosed. In the same match, Real Madrid suffered a 2-0 defeat against Celta.

As a result of this loss, the team now trails La Liga leaders Barcelona by four points. Real Madrid’s next match is scheduled for December 10, when they will face Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League.
