England National Team to Play Uruguay and Japan in March

On Wednesday, it was announced that the England national team will host friendly matches against Uruguay and Japan in March. Regarding this, the team's head coach Thomas Tuchel shared his thoughts.

“We are very pleased that these two matches have been confirmed – the World Cup year is starting to take shape. We wanted to play against two teams ranked in the top 20 in the world, as well as to test ourselves against non-European opponents.

After Friday's draw, the excitement for next year has grown even more,” Tuchel said in an interview with the official website of the Football Association. It should be noted that in the 2026 World Cup, the England national team will compete in the same group as Croatia, Ghana, and Panama.
