Karim Benzema Ready to Return to French National Team

France national team forward Karim Benzema has stated that he is ready to participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The player revealed this in an interview with *L’Équipe*.

"Who wouldn’t want to play in the World Cup? Everyone wants to take part in such a tournament.

I love football and competitions. If someone asks me if I want to play in the World Cup and I say 'no,' that would be a lie.

If I am called up, I will come and play," Benzema said. Karim Benzema last appeared for the France national team in the summer of 2022.
