Bayern Confirms Peaceful Talks with Upamecano

Bayern Munich continues negotiations with Dayot Upamecano over a new contract. The Munich-based club risks losing the French defender as a free agent next summer.

According to media speculation, Real Madrid is reportedly ready to meet Upamecano's demands, which Bayern has yet to satisfy. However, the club's head of sports, Max Eberl, denied the rumors surrounding the negotiations.

He stated that claims of rejected offers, threats, and ultimatums are baseless. In an interview with SPORT1, Eberl mentioned that the talks are progressing well, and the club hopes to formalize the agreement by the end of the year, though he could not guarantee it.

Additionally, he expressed optimism and a firm intention to conclude the deal as soon as possible. On Sunday, under the guidance of Vincent Kompany, the team drew 2-2 at home against Mainz in a Bundesliga match.
