Mbappe needs three more goals to equal Ronaldo's record

In the 16th round of Spain's La Liga, Real Madrid secured a 2-1 away victory against Alaves. One of the goals for the "Royal Club" was scored by French forward Kylian Mbappé.

This goal marked Mbappé's 56th goal in 2025 for Real Madrid. With this achievement, he has come closer to Cristiano Ronaldo's historic record at the club: Ronaldo scored 59 goals in a calendar year for Real Madrid back in 2013.

Before the end of the year, the Madrid giant will play two more matches. Xabi Alonso's side will face Talavera in the Spanish Cup and Sevilla in a La Liga fixture.
