Pedri, the midfielder for Catalonia's FC Barcelona, has reached yet another historical milestone. According to Opta data, the talented Spanish footballer has played in 150 official La Liga matches for the "Blaugrana" team.
This significant achievement was recorded during the 16th round of the Spanish Championship. On December 13, Pedri participated in the match against Osasuna, adding another remarkable chapter to the club's history. This very game marked his 150th La Liga appearance.
Notably, Pedri achieved this feat at the age of 23 years and 18 days, making him the youngest player in Barcelona's history to reach 150 La Liga matches. In doing so, he broke the long-standing record held by club legend Lionel Messi.
The previous record belonged to Argentine superstar Messi, who played his 150th La Liga match for Barcelona in 2010 during a game against Zaragoza, at the age of 23 years and 121 days.
Reaching this landmark was not an easy journey for Pedri. The Spanish midfielder needed just over five years to complete 150 league appearances. He made his La Liga debut on September 27, 2020, in a match against Villarreal.
Achieving such a milestone in such a short period highlights Pedri's consistent performance, reliable contributions, and vital role within FC Barcelona. Experts believe that many more records and significant achievements await him in the future.
