South African National Team May Play Friendly Match Against Russia

The President of the South African Football Association, Danny Jordaan, commented on the possibility of organizing a friendly match against the Russian national team. According to him, such a game could be held next year, and South Africa is open to proposals.

However, no official proposal has yet been received from the Russian Football Union, and there has been no dialogue between the sides. It should be noted that the Russian national team has been excluded from international tournaments by a joint decision of FIFA and UEFA.

Under the management of Valeri Karpin, the Russian team is currently only able to play friendly matches. In their most recent friendly, Russia lost 2-0 to Chile.
