Ajax signs Takehiro Tomiyasu until the end of the season

The Amsterdam-based club "Ajax" has officially signed Japanese defender Takehiro Tomiyasu. The versatile player, capable of playing both as a right-back and a center-back, has been signed on a contract lasting until the end of the current season.

Tomiyasu spent the last three seasons with London’s "Arsenal," having been transferred from "Bologna" in the summer of 2022. Last season, the player barely made any appearances due to serious knee problems.

In the summer of 2025, he left the “Gunners” as a free agent. In the current season, "Ajax" has struggled in the Champions League, sitting at the bottom of their group with just three points.
