Brazil's renowned football club “Botafogo” has officially announced that head coach Davide Ancelotti has stepped down from his position. This decision, confirmed by the club’s press service, has sparked significant discussions among the football community.
It is known that Davide Ancelotti is the son of Carlo Ancelotti, the highly respected coach of the Brazilian national team in world football. He started his coaching career alongside his father, gaining experience as an assistant coach at Real Madrid and other teams. At “Botafogo,” he was given the opportunity to independently manage the team.
According to information from Globo, the primary reason for the termination of the contract was Davide Ancelotti’s strong dissatisfaction with the dismissal of physical fitness coach Luca Guerra. In recent times, the increase in muscle injuries among players led the management to make this decision.
Ancelotti openly stated to the club’s management that he would only continue working if the entire coaching staff remained intact. However, the “Botafogo” management did not accept this demand, forcing the Italian specialist to part ways with the team.
