Napoli Advances to Italian Super Cup Final Defeating Milan

In the first semifinal match of the Italian Super Cup held in Saudi Arabia, Napoli faced Milan. The Neapolitans secured a 2–0 victory, advancing to the final of the competition.

In the opening minutes of the match, Milan displayed aggression in attack. Strahinja Pavlović attempted to take a shot in a challenging situation, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek tested the goalkeeper, but Napoli's keeper managed to save the situation.

Napoli also responded with counterattacks: following a pass from Rasmus Højlund, Elif Elmas attempted a one-touch shot toward the right corner, but the ball narrowly missed the post. The deadlock was broken in the 39th minute.

Højlund delivered a cross from the left flank into the goalkeeper's box. The keeper managed to get a touch, but the ball reached Davide Neres, who scored with a precise one-touch finish, putting Napoli ahead 1–0. Shortly after, Napoli created another dangerous opportunity in a counterattack. Elmas, from the center of the field, sent Højlund racing down the left flank. Rasmus struck a low shot toward the near post, but the goalkeeper deflected it for a corner.

Napoli maintained their dominance in the second half as well. Scott McTominay passed backward toward the edge of the penalty area, and Amir Rrahmani struck a one-touch shot toward the right corner, but the goalkeeper leaped to save the ball.

In the 63rd minute, Napoli extended their lead. Leonardo Spinazzola moved the ball forward down the left flank and passed it to Højlund. The forward delivered a sharp angle shot, hitting the post and finding the net to make it 2–0.

Thus, Napoli advanced to the final of the Italian Super Cup. Their opponent in the final will be determined from the Bologna vs. Inter pairing, with that match scheduled to be played on Friday.
