England's Wolverhampton club suffered a defeat against Brentford in the 17th round of the Premier League, sinking further into the bottom spots of the league standings. After 17 matches, the team has only two points.

In the history of English football leagues, it is extremely rare for a team to collect so few points after 17 matches: such a result has been recorded only twice. In the 1970/1971 season, Newport County in the Fourth Division had just two points after 17 matches, while in the 2020/2021 season, Sheffield United experienced the same crisis in the Premier League with two points following 17 rounds.
