Barcelona Sets 12-Year Record in La Liga


Barcelona extends their consecutive goal-scoring streak in La Liga. The Catalans defeated Villarreal 2-0 in the championship match held on Sunday.

During the match, Raphinha Dias scored in the 12th minute, while Lamine Yamal added a goal in the 63rd minute. According to Opta data, Barcelona has scored at least one goal in each of their last 38 consecutive La Liga games.

This marks the club's best streak since 2013. Twelve years ago, Barcelona recorded the longest streak in championship history by scoring in 64 consecutive matches.

Hans-Dieter Flick's team will face Espanyol next. The Barcelona derby is scheduled to take place on January 3.

The reigning champions finish the year at the top of the league table, sitting four points ahead of Real Madrid.
