Manolo Gonzales says players are giving their best effort

The head coach of "Espanyol," Manolo Gonzalez, shared his thoughts on the victory over "Athletic Bilbao." The La Liga Matchday 17 encounter ended with a 2–1 scoreline.

"I am very pleased. This was exactly the year we needed.

It was fantastic. It’s a tremendous feeling of pride.

The players are giving their all, and the word that best describes us is 'team.' The second half of the season will be even tougher, but if we maintain this attitude, we can keep fighting," Estadio Deportivo quoted the coach as saying.

"The first half was tough, but we defended well and capitalized on our opportunities. We didn’t allow [the opponent] too many chances."
