Former South Korea national team and Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-sung has stated that he does not wish to pursue a career in coaching. After concluding his playing career, he explored roles as a commentator, club ambassador, and technical director.
His only step towards coaching was obtaining a license to manage a youth team. He worked at Queens Park Rangers for only a few months.
"As a coach or an administrator, I always ask myself whether this job suits my character. Simply saying that everything is fine when managing a team is not enough.
One must remain calm when necessary. Creating the right environment sometimes requires knowing how to be assertive.
I don’t consider myself suited for this role," Park Ji-sung said on the Captain Pachucho YouTube channel. Park Ji-sung made 205 appearances for Manchester United, scoring 27 goals and providing 28 assists.
He also played 102 matches for the South Korea national team, scoring 14 goals. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
