On January 1, four matches were played in the English Premier League’s 19th round, and three of them ended in 0–0 draws. This was reported by euro-football.ru.reports.
According to OptaJoe, this is only the second time in EPL history that four games were played on the same day and three of them finished as goalless draws. The previous instance was on April 11, 2010, when only the Manchester City vs Birmingham match produced goals, ending 5–1.
No Premier League matches are scheduled for today. The next fixtures will take place on January 3. After 19 rounds, London’s Arsenal lead the standings with 45 points.
