According to Fars News Agency, Iranian powerhouse Persepolis have reached an agreement with Uzbek Pakhtakor defender Hojiakbar Alijonov. The 28-year-old signs a 1.5-year contract with Persepolis and will replace Serj Ore, who left the club’s right-back position.
Earlier reports said Persepolis had offered Pakhtakor around $800,000 to $1 million for Alijonov’s transfer. The move is significant for both clubs, as Persepolis aim to strengthen their squad.
Alijonov began his career at the Pakhtakor academy. He has made 229 appearances for the team, scoring 10 goals and providing 48 assists. These numbers show his importance to the side.
