Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany commented on the words of 17-year-old Lennart Karl about Madrid’s Real. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
The young attacking midfielder openly said he dreams of playing for the “Royal Club” in the future. Karl’s statement became one of the most discussed topics of the day in German football.
Kompany stressed that he views the situation more broadly: according to him, Karl is working hard in training and putting the team’s interests first. The coach described it as a possible communication mistake by the young player, but noted that given his age, his thinking is moving in the right direction.
According to the specialist, shortly after those remarks Karl immediately apologized to Eberl and Freund. Kompany preferred not to discuss the topic with him separately: everyone in the team had already talked about it, teammates even made light jokes, and the coach wanted to close the matter without further discussion.
Kompany also added that there is one key benchmark for Karl: if he trains poorly or doesn’t work at 100 percent, there will be problems. But for now it’s the opposite — he is training excellently and performing very well on the pitch. “He apologized, I’m satisfied with everything,” Kompany said.
On Saturday, Bayern will face Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga’s 16th round.
