Pep Guardiola sets historic transfer record at Manchester City

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has been breaking not only trophy records but also transfer records since arriving at the club. With the latest signing—Antoine Semenyo joining the Citizens—Guardiola recorded an unprecedented achievement in football history.
Guardiola became the first coach in the world to spend more than €2 billion on buying new players at a single club. It took Guardiola 10 years to reach this major milestone.
Guardiola’s most expensive signings are as follows:
- Jack Grealish — €117 million
- Rodri — €70 million
- Ruben Dias — €71 million
Uzbekistan national team defender Abduqodir Husanov also joined City during Guardiola’s tenure. City paid French club Lens €40 million for Husanov.
