Emre Can close to a new contract with Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund are working on extending defender Emre Can’s contract. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .

According to Bild, the “Black and Yellows” want to offer the 32-year-old a new deal running until June 30, 2028. The parties have already agreed on the main terms. The club’s management wants to show Can trust and recognition, with his leadership qualities rated especially highly.

Can is currently considered one of Borussia’s highest-paid players — his annual income is estimated at around €9 million. However, the new contract предусматривает a significant salary reduction, and this clause has been agreed in advance by both sides.
