Liverpool head coach Arne Slot reacted to comments from club legend Steven Gerrard. Gerrard said the Dutch specialist should complain less about opponents defending in a low block. This was reported by euro-football.ru. reports .
In an interview with Sky Sports, Slot said he hadn’t heard exactly what Gerrard said in full, but stressed that Gerrard has always looked at Liverpool with affection. The coach did not hide that he often mentions the low-block topic, noting that in many matches the team has to play against that kind of defence.
Slot also recalled that during his playing career Gerrard was one of the players capable of breaking down a low block. The coach added that he could have found other wording on the subject or not commented at all: “Everyone knows it anyway,” he said.
On Saturday, Liverpool will play away against Bournemouth.
