Arsenal lost to Manchester United at home after a long streak

Mikel Arteta's disciples tasted the bitterness of defeat for the first time in a month and a half. London's Arsenal hosted Manchester United at home in the 23rd round of the Premier League and lost a dramatic match with a score of 2:3.
This result is not just a defeat for the Gunners - it's also a break in a long undefeated streak. Arsenal last lost 1-2 to Aston Villa on 6 December 2025. Since then, the team has maintained a good pace, recording 9 consecutive wins and 3 draws, giving the opponents a signal that "there are no easy points."
In the match against Manchester United, Arsenal fought until the end, equalizing the score, and even putting pressure on them repeatedly. However, some minor errors, inattention in certain episodes, and "momentary" procrastination opened the door to a costly victory for the opponent. As a result, although the defeat at home dampened the Londoners' morale, it became another important signal for the team: every minute in the championship race is a test.
Now Arsenal's attention will shift to European competitions. Arteta's team will play against Kazakhstan's "Kairat" on January 28th in the Champions League. This match will be very important after the defeat, both psychologically and from the point of view of the tournament objectives.
The conclusion is one: defeat is not falling, but stopping. If Arsenal accepts this "painful lesson" correctly, the team might return even harsher and more bitterly in upcoming European cup matches.
