There's no PSG in the French Cup: quarterfinal pairs are very interesting...

The French Cup quarter-finals have concluded, and as a result, both the teams advancing to the next stage and the quarter-final pairs have been determined. Now the focus is on the quarter-final matches on March 4th. At this stage, each match equals the final: the team that made the mistake immediately bids farewell to the competition.

According to the results of the quarterfinals, the following pairs will play in the quarterfinals of the French Cup:

  • Marseille - Toulouse
  • Strasbourg - Reims
  • "Lorient" - "Nice"
  • Lyon vs. Lance

Each of these pairs promises fans a special intrigue. Marseille's path is of particular interest to many: the club has historically stood out for its character in cup matches. The Lyon vs. Lens match can be full of tempo and struggle, as both teams play "tooth and nail" until the end for results.

The biggest news is that the current tournament winner, PSG, has retired early this season. As a reminder, the Parisians defeated Reims 3-0 in last year's final. Now, Reims are in the quarterfinals, and they have another chance to surprise.

Looking back at the history of the French Cup, PSG has also won the cup the most times - 16 times. In second place in this indicator is Marseille (10 trophies). Saint-Étienne and Lille also have six trophies each.

The conclusion is one: the absence of "PSG" made the cup even more open and "everyone's." After the matches on March 4th, it will become clear who has the real final character.
