Our judokas "shone" at the European Cup: Uzbekistan took 2nd place

The European Judo Cup, held in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana, has come to an end. The prestigious competition was very successful for the Uzbek national team: our guys enriched their medal fund and achieved a high result in the overall team score.

Our judokas were not left without awards on the second day of the competition. Alisher Samanov won a bronze medal in the -90 kg weight category. Muhammadali Tangriev also climbed to the third step of the podium, adding another bronze to the team score.

Thus, the Uzbek men's national team, headed by head coach Alexei Budolin, finished the European Cup with 2 gold and 3 bronze medals. Most importantly, in the competition, which was attended by 44 countries, our national team took second place in the overall team standings - this result did not come by itself, but is the fruit of hard work, discipline and character.

Our flag was flying high in the first day of competitions: Samardin Kuchkarov (-60 kg) and Dilshod Khamroev (-66 kg) became champions and won gold medals. Elbek Tojiev (-73 kg) was awarded a bronze medal. This was reported by the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan.

In short, the European Cup in Ljubljana once again showed that our judokas have form, desire and results. Now we need to carry this mood to the next starts - because it is this spirit that will decide in major competitions.
