The prestigious Artistic Gymnastics World Cup is in full swing in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The initial qualifying rounds have concluded, where our experienced gymnast Oksana Chusovitina showcased her skills. Our athlete performed successfully in the vault event and secured a spot in the final stage.
In the qualifying rounds, judges awarded Oksana Chusovitina a score of 13.049. This result allowed her to take third place in the overall standings and advance to the final. The decisive competitions in this category are scheduled for March 7. Additionally, our athlete will try her luck in the balance beam event today.
In the men's competition, the tournament was a bit challenging for our representatives. Abdulaziz Mirvaliev and Humoyun Ismailov performed in the floor exercise, while Rasuljon Abdurahimov competed on the parallel bars. Unfortunately, their scores were not enough to reach the final. According to the National Olympic Committee, our gymnasts will continue their preparations to achieve better results in future competitions.
