Javokhir Sindarov entered the top ten of the world in the classical chess LIVE ranking and formalized another big event for Uzbek chess. After the latest ranking updates, he climbed up and solidified his position in the Top-10.
The change was reportedly influenced by Wesley So's participation in the Copa America tournament. He dropped out of the top ten after this competition, losing 9 points in the LIVE rankings. As a result, Sindarov moved up the rating table and opened the door to the Top 10.
The most interesting thing is that this situation has become historical. For the first time, two Uzbek grandmasters - Nodirbek Abdusattorov and Javokhir Sindarov - entered the world's top 10 rankings simultaneously. That is, now the name of Uzbekistan is heard even higher on the world chess map: not one, but two major figures are simultaneously among the elite.
