The Spanish club "Real Madrid" has officially responded to transfer rumors regarding "Manchester City" midfielder Rodri. According to the AS publication, although the Madrid side plans to strengthen their squad during the summer transfer window, the Spanish footballer is not on the club's list of primary targets.
The club's management emphasizes that Rodri could only step onto the "Santiago Bernabéu" pitch as an opponent in UEFA Champions League matches. This decision is due to several factors, including "Real Madrid's" strategic policy of relying on young and promising players, as well as the serious injury the midfielder sustained last year.
As a reminder, the current contract of the 2024 "Ballon d'Or" winner Rodri with "Manchester City" runs until 2027. Currently, the player is also considering extending his cooperation with the "Cityzens". This season, he has made 24 appearances for the English club and managed to score 2 goals.
