Notably, Messi only played 1,142 games to achieve this result, marking the fastest record in world football history. For comparison, one of his main rivals, Cristiano Ronaldo, reached this milestone in his 1236th match.
Messi also dominated in terms of age: he celebrated his 900th goal at 38 years and 268 days old, while Ronaldo achieved this result at 39 years and 213 days old. This once again confirms the effectiveness and resilience of the Argentinian footballer.
For information, Messi has been playing for Inter Miami since 2023. Prior to that, he represented Barcelona and PSG in European football and went on to become an eight-time Ballon d'Or winner.
