From March 30 to April 10, the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, will host the Asian Boxing Championship among adults. The Uzbekistan national team will also participate in this prestigious competition with a full and competitive squad and will enter the ring for high results.
According to the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan, representatives of both the men's and women's national teams will compete for prizes in various weight categories.
The men's team includes Asilbek Jalilov (-50 kg), Shahzod Muzaffarov (-55 kg), Abdurahmon Mahmudjonov (-60 kg), Abdulloh Madaminov (-65 kg), Havasbek Asadullayev (-70 kg), Javohir Abdurahimov (-75 kg), Fazliddin Erkinboyev (-80 kg), Jasurbek Yuldoshev (-85 kg), Halimjon Mamasoliyev (-90 kg), and Arman Makhanov (+90 kg).
They are being trained by experienced coaches - Rakhmatjon Ruziokhunov, Ruslan Telimbayev, Ramzjon Akhmedov, Sherzodbek Akhmadjonov, and Nursultan Burikhanov.
The women's national team also went to the competition with a strong squad. Among them are Sabina Boboqulova (-48 kg), Gulsevar Ganiyeva (-51 kg), Xumorabonu Mamajonova (-54 kg), Nigina O'ktamova (-57 kg), Mushtariybonu Mamajonova (-60 kg), Feruza Abdualimova (-65 kg), Oysha Toirova (-70 kg), Aziza Zokirova (-75 kg), Ruxshona Parpiyeva (-80 kg), and Oltinoy Sotimboyeva (+80 kg).
The women's team is coached by Barbaro Fernandez Jimenez, Islam Tadjiboev, Azim Khudaykulov, and Lazizbek Sharifjonov. Dilshod Kazakov works as a doctor in the team.
According to experts, this championship will be an important test for Uzbek boxers not only for medals, but also for international experience and rankings. And the fans look forward to another bright victory and strong performances from our team.
