"Real Madrid" has reportedly decided not to make a move for "Manchester City" midfielder Rodri during the upcoming summer transfer window. According to AS, the Spanish giants rate the player highly but have chosen not to test "City" with an offer at this stage.
Rodri is currently working his way back to top form after recovering from a serious injury he suffered in 2024. The Spain international remains an important figure, but his recent situation appears to have convinced "Real Madrid" to hold off rather than push for a transfer now.
This season, the midfielder has made 28 appearances for "Manchester City" in all competitions and scored two goals. His current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2027, while Transfermarkt values him at 65 million euros.
At the same time, "Manchester City" officials are said to be trying to reach an agreement with Rodri over a contract extension. That effort could further reduce any chance of a major transfer in the near future.
