Bernardo Silva has reportedly decided to leave "Manchester City" at the end of the current season, even though head coach Josep Guardiola wanted the Portuguese playmaker to stay. According to journalist Mark Brus, the midfielder has no intention of changing his mind once his current deal reaches its end.
The report says Silva has already informed the club’s leadership about his final decision. That means "Manchester City" could soon be preparing for life without one of the key players from Guardiola’s successful era.
Silva has been with the club since 2017 and has played an important role in the team’s achievements over the years. This season, the 31-year-old has made 42 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing five assists.
According to Transfermarkt, Silva’s current market value stands at 27 million euros. His expected departure would mark the end of a long chapter at "Manchester City" and could attract interest from several clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.
